To All our Compatriots, Friends of the Filipino People, Philippine Solidarity Groups, Members of the ILPS and Personages abroad concerned about political killings in the Philippines
On behalf of the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan, New Patriotic Alliance) in the Philippines and all relatives and loved ones of the 763 victims of political killings, our heartfelt gratitude for responding to the appeal of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS) for a Global Action Against Political Killings under the US-backed regime of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
The Global Action was participated in by several hundreds of protesters in the 3 continents of Asia, North America and Europe in 15 countries (last minute report came from Pakistan) and 27 cities through militant and colorful, visually attractive, and creative forms. We likewise take this opportunity to thank our compatriots, solidarity friends and several parliamentarians and lawyers in Belgium for their protest actions when President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo visited it in September 12.
Your protest actions on September 21 are a source of immense inspiration and strength to all of us in the Philippines as we continue our campaign to oust this fake, corrupt, puppet, and anti-people President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo regime.
